Candles

At Callanish Candles we hand make and individually wrap and label each one, giving them all the same care and attention to ensure the highest quality.

We prime our wicks, which are carefully selected to suit the candle, before loading into the moulds, this ensures an instant wax pool in the top of the candle and guarantees immediate scent throw.

Our candles are “chunk” candles, in that, we pre make, colour and scent our chunks of wax which is the base colour for the finished candle. The candle moulds are filled with set wax chunks, then, with our own designed blend of wax we pour into the mould over the chunks to achieve the desired effect.

Harris Tweed Scarves

Harris Tweed is a unique brand to Lewis and Harris.

The Tweeds are hand woven here in the Western Isles and finished as scarves in our workshop.
